October 2023 Fundraiser Lunch @ The Raffles

Hi Gents, 

Our big fundaising lunch at The Raffles is this Friday. You have until 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday) to grab your tickets and ensure we fill the venue and raise much needed funds for Charlie's Hope!

We would love to see you at this years' fundraising lunch which will take place on Friday 27th October at The Raffles Hotel!

Once again, we will be supporting and raising funds for Charlie’s Hope. Charlie is a 14-year-old Perth boy who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic disease, at the age of eight. For the past six years, his parents, Barry & Kristy, have fought an unrelenting and costly battle to give their son the best life possible. There won't be a dry eye in the place when you hear their story!

We’ll be looking to surpass the amazing fund-raising efforts of last year with several live auctions and some fantastic raffle prizes! Here are just a few of the fantastic auction items:

• Private charter flight on the Legendaire Piper Navajo (6 seater) to Leeuwin Estate for lunch

• Private charter flight on the Legendaire Cessna 210 (4 seater) to Samphire Rottnest for lunch

• Signed West Coast Eagles jersey

We are very proud to announce that this is an Open Lunch for the club and you are welcome to invite spouses, colleagues and friends. The event last year was a resounding success and with limited ticket numbers you’ll need to get in early!

We had our first Beer & Beef event at The Raffles Hotel back in February and we absolutely loved it! We thought it would be the perfect venue to host the annual fundraiser lunch and have a fantastic afternoon planned. The beer sponsor is yet to be announced so keep your eyes and ears open! For those guest who are not beer drinkers, there will also be a selection of wines and bubbles available.

Just a couple of quick "house-keeping" reminders:

• Please inform your guest of our dress standards. For the men - jacket and tie compulsory - dress jeans/chinos are perfectly okay. For the ladies - smart business casual/cocktail;

• The lunch is a strict 1:00pm start, if you get there early, grab a beer at the bar - the committee are still in set up phase prior to this (please inform your guests of this as well);

• Remember to drink responsibly and look after your mates;

• When you book a ticket for your guest, please be sure to enter their name so we can arrange badges - as well as their email so a copy of the ticket is sent to them;
