April 2023 Luncheon @ King Somm Bar

The April 2023 Luncheon is being held at King Somm Bar in Bayswater!

The Beer & Beef Club is no stranger to Anthony Princi and his fantastic team, with many of our lunches hosted at Bivouac over the years. They have continued to expand their food and drink empire to include Juanita's Bar in Subiaco in 2018, and King Somm in 2019. 

King Somm, much like their other two venues, is about that 'neighbourhood bar' atmosphere - a place where the staff know your name and the place feels like home. Princi and his team have worked hard to create a cruisy and laid-back style to their restaurants and bars, creating a welcoming place that everyone can enjoy. 

The head chef at Juanita's and King Somm will be joing us for a delicious afternoon. For entree, we can expect vitello tonnato and pickled mushroom with a rosemary crumb. The main will be more of a share-style, with a reverse seared, smoked tri-tip steak, romesco loaded wedge cos salad with trimmings.

Phat Brew Club will also be supplying us a selection of four beers over the course of the afternoon!

Ticket sales will end at 12:30pm on Monday 24th April with only 60 seats available so don't delay!

Just a few quick "house-keeping" reminders:

• Please inform your guest of our dress standards - jacket and tie compulsory - dress jeans/chinos are perfectly okay;

• The lunch is a strict 1:00pm start - the committee are still in set up phase prior to this (please inform your guests of this as well);

• When you book a ticket for your guest, please be sure to enter their name so we can arrange badges - as well as their email so a copy of the ticket is sent to them;

• Remember to drink responsibly and look after your mates;

• Finally, the club is about true fellowship, so when you introduce your guest(s) - it's not so much about their business and telling the room they should see them for "x" service - it's more about how you've met them and why they'd enjoy the lunch - it's more important to focus on the fellowship aspect, rather than introducing a networking flavour. Set the expectation for them right from the start so they can relax and just enjoy the day.
